Maryem has been involved with the Foundation since it’s beginnings. She is an international PR, branding and communications professional with expertise in the overall development and implementation of Corporate Branding, Media Relations, Content and Marketing Strategies and overall Business Development. She has over 15 years of professional experience, ranging from corporate brands (such as Estee Lauder’s Aveda) to international organizations, like the OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID). She has also worked as a Communications and branding consultant for organizations like the Canadian Embassy in Venezuela. Maryem holds a BA in Communications and two Master degrees: one in External Relations and Protocol, and another in International Relations and Communications, where she completed a thesis on Human Rights. She is Co-Founder & Managing Partner at communications firm Akari, and brand manager at Emzingo, a company specializing in leadership development through social impact.
